Employee

Your dashboard

A tour of the Employee dashboard — what each card means and how to use it.

When you log in to TracefyHR, you land on your personal dashboard. It's designed to answer three questions at a glance:

  • Have I checked in today?
  • How much leave do I have left?
  • Anything I need to know about?
The Employee dashboard with status pill, leave balance cards, recent activity, and notifications

The status pill

At the very top, you'll see a coloured pill that says one of:

  • 🔵 Not checked in — start of day
  • 🟢 Checked in — you've started your day
  • ⚫️ Day completed — you've checked out

Click the pill to check in or check out without leaving the dashboard. The full check-in form opens so you can fill in your work plan.

See Check in and check out for the full flow.

Leave balance cards

Each card shows one type of leave (Annual, Sick, etc.) with:

  • Allowed days/year — your annual quota
  • Used — how many you've taken so far this year
  • Remaining — what's left
  • A progress bar so you can see at a glance

If a leave type requires advance notice (e.g. "5 days notice"), it's printed under the card.

Click Apply for leave on any card to start a request for that specific type — saves you a step.

Notifications bell

The bell at the top shows new alerts:

  • Leave request approved or rejected
  • Custom feature submission decisions
  • Payroll posted
  • HR-issued announcements

Click an item to jump straight to the page that explains it.

Recent activity

Below the cards you'll see a short list of your recent activity: leave requests, custom feature submissions, and (if your company tracks it) attendance summaries.

What you can't see — and why

Employees see only their own data. You can't see:

  • Other employees' leave balances or salaries
  • Payroll figures for the whole company
  • Settings, expenses, or budget information

If you need any of that, ask your HR or Manager.
